Multimedia Journalist - KGNS
KGNS+ is looking for a dynamic multimedia journalist to join our newsroom. We are seeking qualified candidates who have a passion for storytelling and news gathering.
The perfect individual will be able to write, edit, and shoot engaging, informative, and compelling news content. We are looking for a storyteller with solid writing skills and the ability to turn content in on deadline under pressure. We want to hire a reporter who is ready to immerse themselves in the community, find the stories that genuinely impact the people who live here, and bring solid enterprise coverage to the table every day.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above.
Qualifications/Requirements:
A college degree in journalism or a related field is required
Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable
Initiative and attention to detail are required
Be able to write clearly and accurately; great grammar!
Must be able to work well under sometimes intense pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving in a manner that will work well with co-workers, supervisors, and viewers
Ability to keep up with national and local news/weather is required
Ability to enterprise local hard-news stories is required
Computer knowledge, including newsroom software, Microsoft applications, and Internet use
Must be able to edit video and audio
