Marketing Lead

The Bitcoin Way · IN, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

About us

The Bitcoin Way is a Bitcoin-only consultancy. We help people take full control of their Bitcoin through self-custody setup, personal cybersecurity, privacy, and Plan B residency.

We are a small, fast-moving team. No corporate layers. No committees. Everyone does real work. If you need someone to tell you what to do every morning, this is not the right fit.

The role

We are looking for a Marketing Lead who can drive our entire marketing operation forward. Not just strategy. Execution. Someone who can write a landing page in the morning, review an SEO article at lunch, set up UTM tracking for a new campaign in the afternoon, and identify a sponsorship opportunity before end of day.

You need to understand and ensure that everything going out the door meets our standard. You are the person who oversees the full marketing engine and makes sure the output is consistent, high quality, and moving us forward.

This person will work closely with our Creative Director, Chief Strategy Officer, and Head of YouTube. You are not replacing anyone. You are the missing piece that ties everything together and pushes us to the next level.

What you will do

Build and execute. You are comfortable going from zero to one. A blank page does not scare you. Whether it is a new landing page, a lead magnet, an ad campaign, or a content strategy, you can build it from scratch without waiting for someone to hand you a brief.

Write. Content is a core part of this role. Blog articles, email sequences, landing page copy, guides, social media posts. You will write regularly, and it needs to be good. Clear, direct, human. No marketing fluff.

Oversee quality. You are the last set of eyes before anything goes live. You ensure that every piece of marketing output, whether it comes from you, the design team, or the YouTube team, is consistent with our brand, our voice, and our standard. If something is not right, you flag it and fix it.

Track and measure. You understand UTM parameters, attribution, and campaign tracking. You know how to measure what is working and what is not. You set up tracking properly from the start so we are never guessing.

Identify opportunities. Sponsorships, events, partnerships, new channels, new audiences. You are always looking for the next opportunity to put The Bitcoin Way in front of the right people. You bring ideas to the table, not just execute what is handed to you.

Oversee and delegate. You will manage marketing tasks across the team, assign work, review output, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. But you are not just a manager. You do the work too.

Collaborate and contribute. You work daily with our Creative Director on brand and design, our CSO on strategy and positioning, and our Head of YouTube on video content. You do not own their domains, but you contribute to them. You understand enough about design, video, and production to have informed opinions and add value.

Use AI effectively. You have engineering experience and you know how to use AI tools to improve your own work and the work of those around you. You use AI to move faster, produce better output, and help the team level up. Not as a crutch, but as a multiplier.

What we need from you

Analytical and data-driven to the core. This is not optional. Every marketing decision should be backed by data. You do not launch a campaign because it feels right. You launch it because the data supports it. You do not kill a channel because you are bored with it. You kill it because the numbers say it is not working. You track everything, measure everything, and use data to drive every decision you make. If you cannot point to the data behind your recommendation, it is not ready.

Technical and engineering background. You understand how things work under the hood. You are comfortable with tools, systems, data, and technical concepts. You can set up tracking, build dashboards, query analytics, and talk to developers and designers without needing a translator. You know how to use AI as an engineering tool to improve workflows and output across the team.

Deep understanding of Bitcoin. Not just the price. You understand self-custody, sovereignty, privacy, why running a node matters, and why people are leaving traditional financial systems. If you don't already believe in what we do, this role is not for you.

Marketing experience that shows results. You have built campaigns, grown audiences, and driven measurable outcomes. You know what good SEO looks like. You know how to write an ad that converts. You know the difference between content that gets shared and content that gets ignored.

An eye for opportunities. You see a conference and think about whether we should sponsor, attend, or speak. You see a content creator and think about whether a partnership makes sense. You are always scanning for ways to grow our reach and reputation.

Innovative and resourceful. You do not just follow playbooks. You think creatively about how to solve problems, reach new audiences, and do things differently. You bring fresh ideas that nobody asked for because you saw something the rest of us missed.

Someone people want to work with. You are going to collaborate with a lot of different people across the team every single day. You need to be someone that others enjoy working with. Ego does not belong here. You listen, you respect other people's expertise, you communicate clearly, and you make the people around you better.

Comfortable in a startup environment. We move fast. Priorities shift. You might be working on a conference campaign one week and a product launch the next. You need to be adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Discipline and leadership. You hold yourself to a high standard and you hold others to it too. You follow through. You don't need to be chased. When something needs to happen, you make it happen.

Must have

  • Proven experience in marketing, content, and growth (show us the work)
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to every decision
  • Technical or engineering background
  • Strong writing ability in English (clear, direct, no corporate speak)
  • Deep knowledge of Bitcoin, self-sovereignty, and the broader ecosystem
  • Experience with SEO, paid ads, email marketing, social media, and campaign tracking (UTM, attribution, analytics)
  • Experience using AI tools to improve marketing output and team workflows
  • Ability to identify and pursue sponsorship, event, and partnership opportunities
  • Innovative thinking and creative problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well across teams
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Experience working in startups or small, fast-moving teams
