Job Title

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute advertising sales strategies to increase revenue for print, electronic and digital platforms
Prospect, solicit and secure new advertising accounts while maintaining and growing existing client relationships
Create customized multi-platform advertising packages tailored to client needs and budgets
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
Coordinate with editorial, production and graphic designers to ensure timely delivery of advertisements
Prepare advertising proposals, contracts, rate quotes and presentations for prospective clients
Monitor advertising trends, audience engagement and market conditions to identify new revenue opportunities
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, contracts, renewals, billing and client communications
Represent Co-op City Times at networking events, business functions, community meetings and industry events
Ensure all advertising content complies with publication standards, policies and applicable regulations
Collaborate with editors to establish advertising rates, sales projections and revenue forecasts
Provide comprehensive monthly revenue performance/sales activity report
Deliver excellent customer service and ongoing account support to advertisers
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Business Administration, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience considered
Work Experience and Minimum Requirements:
Three to five years' professional experience with at least 2-3 years in a management position in a newspaper, magazine, digital media or multimedia publishing environments
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and generating advertising revenue
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
Experience selling print and digital advertising products
Strong understanding of media planning and advertising analytics
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems and digital advertising platforms
Knowledge of social media marketing and online advertising sales a plus
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
Willingness to attend industry meetings and events and conduct client visits as needed
Must be able to lawfully drive
Testing:
Drug screening, as permitted by, and consistent with, applicable law.
Physical Requirements:
Persons performing service in this position classification may routinely exert up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This type of work will involve regular walking or standing for extended periods of time. It may involve stooping or bending. Handling and working with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
