Position Summary
The Associate Account Manager (AAM) plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of client programs and projects across the Account Management team. This role is responsible for coordinating project details, supporting internal operations, maintaining financial and system accuracy, and developing a strong understanding of client businesses and branded merchandise solutions.
Working closely with Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, National Account Managers, and Senior National Account Managers, the AAM serves as a key operational partner, ensuring projects move efficiently from brief through delivery while contributing to a positive client experience.
This role is designed as a developmental step toward Account Manager and provides increasing exposure to client communication, project ownership, and strategic account management. As part of a fast‑paced, client‑centric organization, the Associate Account Manager helps ensure exceptional service, operational excellence, and successful execution across client programs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution (30%)
Support execution of client programs and projects from brief through delivery
Manage project timelines, milestones, approvals, and deliverables
Coordinate with Production, Creative, Logistics, eCommerce, and supplier partners to ensure seamless execution
Monitor project status and proactively identify risks, delays, or potential issues
Assist with order management, fulfillment coordination, and inventory‑related requests
Support execution of new business opportunities, eCommerce launches, and program initiatives
Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
Operations & Internal Coordination (25%)
Create and maintain project documentation and workflow records
Assist with development and management of creative briefs
Support internal project kickoffs and status meetings
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other business systems
Assist with reporting, tracking, and internal communications
Ensure compliance with internal processes, service standards, and operating procedures
Support cross‑functional collaboration across all internal departments
Client Service & Communication (25%)
Participate actively in client meetings and capture notes, action items, and next steps
Support client communications and follow‑up requests
Assist in maintaining a positive client experience throughout project execution
Develop knowledge of client businesses, objectives, products, and brand standards
Help prepare client‑facing materials, presentations, and project updates
Serve as a responsive and reliable resource for client support needs
Financial Accuracy & Readiness (15%)
Support quoting and costing processes
Maintain accuracy of pricing, project budgets, and order details
Assist with purchase order creation and invoice coordination, accurately and on time
Develop understanding of promotional product pricing structures and supplier economics
Build foundational knowledge of margin management and financial discipline
Ensure data accuracy throughout the quote‑to‑order process
Growth & Development (5%)
Build knowledge of the promotional products industry, suppliers, and product categories
Participate in training and professional development opportunities
Support team initiatives and cross‑functional projects
Demonstrate increasing ownership and readiness for Account Manager responsibilities
Develop presentation, communication, and client management skills
Contribute positively to team culture and collaboration
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in account management support, project coordination, promotional products, agency services, marketing, or a related environment
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong problem‑solving and follow‑through skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred
Desire to grow into a client‑facing Account Manager role

Successful Associate Account Managers demonstrate operational excellence, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences. They are highly organized, dependable, proactive, and continuously building the skills necessary to advance into larger client‑facing and account ownership responsibilities.
We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $66,500-$70,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes:
