Scripps Media Inc is hiring: Lifestyle Co-Host (Non-News), WCPO in Cincinnati

Overview WCPO, an ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, OH, is looking for a Lifestyle Co-Host to be the face and voice of our local non‑news programming. The role involves creating engaging content, building relationships with viewers and clients, and representing the station at community events.
Responsibilities Collaborate with the co‑host, producers, and the sales department to create, gather, write, and execute all production elements for programs, web reporting, live‑to‑tape segments, and station‑sponsored or paid events.
Prepare and host a local non‑news television show and other related programming and special projects.
Report and present stories on the station’s newscasts, recorded programming, and entertainment properties; provide live on‑location coverage when required.
Present information conversationally on camera and through other multimedia platforms such as blogs and written internet articles, working from script and engaging in impromptu conversation as needed.
Collaborate with the assigned photographer on segments, if one is assigned.
Serve as host/master of ceremonies for public‑service events and other station events, performing community‑service activities.
Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
Generally, 3+ years of professional broadcasting experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to provide proof of insurance meeting company-required limits.
Ability to write feature packages.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under deadline pressures.
Ability to develop creative solutions to problems and generate innovative ideas.
Knowledge of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics, and libel laws.
Flexible hours and travel may be required.
