Expressive Design Group is hiring: Assistant Photographer in Holyoke

Expressive Design Group is a leader in consumer products, specializing in fun and innovative gift packaging with a strong emphasis on quality and value. We design, manufacture, and distribute our own branded products, as well as develop exciting private‑label items for major retailers. Our growing market spans independent stores, regional chains, and leading national retailers such as Walmart, Menards, Kohl’s, and Target.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Photography Assistant to support our in‑house Lead Photographer. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced creative environment.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), experienced working on a Mac platform, and skilled in developing and assembling mock‑ups. This is a full‑time, on‑site position.

Responsibilities

Assist with photography projects, including setup, preparation, organization, and post‑production

Execute photography layouts under the direction of the Art Director and Lead Photographer

Edit and retouch images using Adobe Photoshop

Manage and organize digital assets and project files

Support multiple projects simultaneously, each with varying timelines and requirements

Occasional prototyping support by constructing mock‑ups using techniques including printing, cutting, adhesive mounting, 3D assembly, and finishing application

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (additional Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred)

Photography experience required

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Proactive, forward‑thinking, and team‑oriented mindset
