What You’ll Do
Serve as the embodiment of the brand, engaging, developing, implementing, and executing operational plans and policies to support the store’s daily front‑line retail and customer experience activities.
Oversee store and customer experience operations, engaging in day‑to‑day activities that make customers happy.
Learn about Patagonia products, share your passion for community, and contribute to environmental protection.
Use the company’s purpose and core values to guide decisions and act as a brand advocate inside and outside the store.
Deliver best‑in‑class service by centering the customer in everything you do.
Utilize selling sense skills and connect our communities to a life outdoors.
Participate in the Activism program, using 18 Activism Hours to support the community, partner with local non‑profits through grant and donation processes, and inspire customers and colleagues to get involved.
Maintain deep product and business knowledge, including technical aspects of core sports products, and incorporate new products and services into everyday customer service practices.
Process shipments, support physical inventory, restock the sales floor, assist with sale prep/breakdown, product transfers, and donations.
Maintain visual store standards by folding, hanging, buffing, steaming, dressing mannequins, and stocking the floor.
Assist in retail marketing by helping produce and execute events and suggesting ideas for community engagement.
Participate in ongoing training, maintain a solid understanding of company policies, and help train fellow
ew employees to achieve store goals.
Practice security measures that help prevent theft, understand how to handle safety situations, and report and resolve concerns quickly.
Commit to an inclusive, respectful work environment, provide feedback, and ensure accountability.
Ensure accuracy in POS operations, utilize the Ironclad Guarantee and Worn Wear programs, answer phones, support front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, and assist with in‑store repairs while communicating with leadership and customer service.

Customer service and/or sales skills with prior retail or related customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
Stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
Frequent reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products necessary for customer service, inventory stocking, events, and merchandising.
Walk up and down a staircase while carrying boxes and products.
Perform store maintenance duties: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
Safely lift up to 55 pounds and comfortably climb ladders.
Schedule
Store hours: Monday‑Saturday 10a.m. – 7p.m.; Sunday 10a.m. – 6p.m. Current hiring needs are for 20 to 29 hours per week, with open availability Friday to Monday. Shifts may begin and end up to two hours before and after business hours.
