Job Description
Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Social Video Producer to join the Broadcast department, working in Boone, NC. The role involves conceptualizing, developing, writing, filming, editing, and overseeing a wide range of video and audio productions focused on social media content, ministry overviews, personal profiles, commercials, podcasts, and other media projects. You will apply strategies and techniques optimized for social media audiences to create compelling, mission-driven content that promotes the ministry of Franklin Graham, Edward Graham, Samaritan's Purse, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and other outreach efforts across web platforms, broadcast networks, cable outlets, and targeted digital channels.

Responsibilities

Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.

Oversee video productions from inception to completion at professional standards, exploring new storytelling techniques optimized for social media platforms. This includes creative conceptualizing, writing (in the voice of ministry leaders), directing, and editing, and coordinating with Broadcast Department leadership on scheduling, travel, and resources.

Produce video content covering various ministry activities worldwide and other general field and studio productions as needed. Coordinate and communicate logistical and creative direction for executive staff, video talent, and other relevant personalities.

Craft public messaging effectively and accurately by researching and understanding the Ministry's mission, language, and priorities, and coordinating with other departments to ensure successful messaging of relevant, timely information.

Maintain the highest level of professionalism and communication standards when coordinating with or interviewing the Graham family, ministry friends, executives & staff, volunteers, and aid recipients, with special sensitivity to those suffering pain, loss, or trauma.

Explore and maintain up-to-date knowledge of professional video production standards and creative techniques, including lighting, camera, audio, editing, and graphic design, and consult on applying these techniques to communicate with key audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in film or video production or a related field and five (5) or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of high‑quality video storytelling, with demonstrated skills in conducting interviews, directing crews, and clearly communicating creative vision and direction. Familiarity with professional broadcast video production techniques, including lighting, camera operation, and field audio recording.

Experience with nonlinear video editing techniques for story assembly, including proficiency in industry‑standard editing software such as AVID Media Composer or similar systems.

12 credit hours of college‑level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.

Travel Expectation: 45 days annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be required.
