Title: Director of Operations (TEI & CEC)
Salary Range: $85,000–$100,000
Position Overview
Reports to: Executive Director of TEI. The Director of Operations will manage educational and training programs and support launch of new initiatives for TEI and CEC, driving program development, client relations, financial analysis and logistics for 8–12 evaluation education programs per year serving approximately 600 professional participants.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement open‑enrollment and custom professional development programs in evaluation, including curriculum development and determining educational goals.
Assess faculty effectiveness and use data to improve performance.
Provide strategic analysis of programs relative to competitors, conduct research on market opportunities, and identify new partnership markets.
Determine pricing, revenue projections, margins, and competition to ensure profitability.
Administer all details of program implementation and work with academic leadership, budget office, IT, enrollment services, marketing, finance, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative online and hybrid learning.
Represent TEI/CEC at meetings with corporate, government, non‑profit sponsors, professional groups, and faculty.
Inspect and evaluate potential program sites.
Continuously evaluate programs, policies, and workflows; recommend and implement improvements for participant experience and operational efficiency.
Apply adult learning theory to curriculum and program design.
Establish strategic partnerships with organizations.
Monitor program operations, resolve issues with faculty, participants, and delivery, and document process improvements.
Administer TEI Social Betterment award – infrastructure, marketing, presentation, post‑award webinar.
Develop and oversee financial budgets; analyze costs, manage inventory, collect payments, develop ROI strategies, and achieve financial targets.
Attend client programs and meetings locally, out‑of‑state, and internationally.
Maintain high-quality business processes, project management standards, performance goals, KPIs, status reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution, ideally in program evaluation, instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in online learning and project management, with two years of supervisory experience.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of online learning environments, higher‑education project management, pedagogy, basic budgeting, and learning technologies.
Proven self‑motivation in team‑oriented, high‑pressure environments.
Preferred: Doctorate, PMP certification, experience with faculty improvement of online learning environments, customer relations, process design, change management.
Work Schedule & Benefits
Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m.; primarily on‑site with potential for up to two remote days after probation. Additional evening, weekend, holiday, accreditation, and special event work may be required. Benefits-eligible.
