Position Summary
The Communications Specialist reports to and supports the Head of Communications–Americas in developing and executing communication strategies and campaigns. This role works closely with the Corporate Communications Group, Managing Directors, Project Managers, and subject matter experts to communicate business objectives effectively.

The position is responsible for creating high‑quality communications materials, ensuring alignment with company messaging and brand guidelines, and evaluating the effectiveness of communications initiatives. The role requires strong collaboration across internal and external stakeholders and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities

Support development of communication strategies and campaign plans

Develop communication materials including newsletters, press releases, social media content, website content, and presentations

Ensure all content aligns with company brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and strategic priorities

Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver communication materials

Research, analyze, and evaluate effectiveness of communication deliverables using tools and metrics

Provide recommendations for improving communication effectiveness

Support internal communications efforts for employees and contractors

Develop and maintain intranet content, ensuring usability and engagement

Leadership / Management Responsibilities

Advising leaders on effective social media communication and advocacy

Organizing events

Escalating information to the Group Communications team

Coordinating with external media representatives as required

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities

Ensure consistency and quality of communication deliverables

Maintain alignment with corporate communication standards and frameworks

Adapt to new tools, platforms, and communication technologies

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, content creation, or media relations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt to different tones, styles and formats.

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment

Experience supporting internal communications initiatives

Knowledge of public relations, media relations, and digital communication best practices

Experience with tools such as SharePoint, Teams, company intranet, and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience in the energy industry

Experience in photography, video production, and editing

Strong presentation and public speaking skills
