Seeking a full-time remote Associate Art Director, the candidate will manage and mentor designers while art directing creative book designs for children's fiction and non-fiction titles, ensuring adherence to deadlines and design excellence.
Key responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and art direct designers and freelancers while coordinating multiple projects
Design and oversee all stages of book packaging, from concept to final product
Collaborate closely with editorial, creative, and production teams to meet project needs effectively
Required qualifications
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in bookmaking, preferably in children's publishing
Bachelor's or Master's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite
Strong portfolio demonstrating typographic skills and creative talent
Knowledge of print production processes and color theory
