This role is ideal for someone deeply tapped into today's media landscape who knows how to build relationships, spot opportunities, pivot quickly, and consistently secure high-impact media coverage. You'll work across respected health & wellness and active lifestyle brands, as well as founders and experts shaping culture. If you love pitching, storytelling, and driving meaningful visibility, this role offers ownership, creativity, and growth.The role is based in either Los Angeles or New York.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead media relations across broadcast, print, digital, and podcasts, securing meaningful, top-tier coverageDevelop creative angles and pitch strategies that break through and position clients as category leadersBuild and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and podcast hosts across key verticalsDraft pitches, press releases, op-eds, and media materials with clarity, voice, and impactIdentify timely news hooks, trends, and cultural moments to drive consistent coverageSecure features, expert commentary, interviews, profiles, product placements, and gift guide inclusionsCollaborate internally to develop smart, unexpected ideas to support launches, campaigns, events, desksides, and activationsManage and mentor junior team members to develop their growthServe as a trusted strategic partner to clients, providing clear, confident guidance on media strategy and expectationsAttributes5-7+ years of PR experience (agency) with a strong focus on media relationsDeep understanding of today's media ecosystem and evolving platforms to know how to break throughThoughtful, resourceful, and tenacious, who proactively creates opportunitiesCreative, strategic thinker with sharp storytelling instincts and an ability to craft fresh, relevant, and newsworthy anglesStrong media relationships with a proven track record of resultsOrganized and able to manage multiple projects with clarity and attention to detailConfident and collaborative with a positive, solutions-oriented mindsetPassionate about wellness, culture, consumer brands, and storytellingComfortable with influencers, digital strategy, and how PR integrates with social media and affiliate/commerce ecosystemsWhy S&CoAt S&Co, you will gain exposure to meaningful, purpose-driven work, access to industry relationships, and the chance to help define what modern PR looks like in a rapidly evolving space.
