Associate Copywriter

What to Expect
As an Associate Copywriter, you will be responsible for upholding the Tesla tone of voice across all customer-facing content-including customer communications, web pages, the Tesla app, vehicle UI, paid content and social platforms.

This role is on-site at our Design Studio in Hawthorne, California, and reports to our Senior Staff Copywriter.

What You’ll Do

Write copy for email, web, ads, Tesla app, vehicle UI and social

Proofread, edit and validate all copy for product, tone and legal accuracy

Adhere to project deadlines and communicate milestones to project partners

Provide urgent daily copy support, delivering quality copy under tight deadlines

Adjust copy according to stakeholder feedback while upholding copy standards

Brainstorm creative ways to reach and engage with customers through copy

Participate in and lead copy reviews

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field, or equivalent work experience

AP style expert

1-3+ years of related work experience in a fast-paced environment

Ability to deliver quality copy under tight deadlines

Excellent copywriting and editing skills

Excellent organizational ability

Skilled at maintaining cross-functional working relationships

Expected Compensation
$64,600 - $119,700/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
