Job Summary
The YEA! Program Coordinator will manage the day-to-day coordination of the YEA! Network. This position will help plan meetings and events, support youth and partner engagement, coordinate trainings and workgroups, maintain communication across the network, track project activities and outcomes, and help ensure that youth voice is included in program planning, advocacy, training, and systems improvement efforts.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 or more years of relevant experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related field.

Experience working with transition‑age youth or young adults who have experienced foster care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of child welfare, foster care, transition-age youth, or youth-serving systems.

Experience coordinating programs, projects, coalitions, networks, or community initiatives.

Experience facilitating meetings, trainings, groups, or community conversations.

Comfort working directly with youth and young adults, including youth with lived experience in foster care.

Key Responsibilities

30% – Serve as the primary contact for the project. Keep statewide YEA! Network activities organized, on schedule, and moving forward. Lead and support meetings, trainings, webinars, and workgroups with youth, providers, SCDSS staff, and community partners.

30% – Support statewide partners and community collaboration. Maintain strong relationships among Network and serve as a regular point of contact for Network partners and chapters. Coordinate communication and assist with planning cross‑agency.

15% – Manage organizational communications and social media activities to promote engagement, enhance visibility, and support program goals. Maintain consistent communication across the statewide YEA! Network and support public‑facing communication efforts.

15% – Track deliverables, reports, and project outcomes. Ensure that YEA! Network activities are documented and that project deliverables are completed on time. Maintain file management and help prepare reports.

10% – Support program planning and continuous improvement efforts by assessing current practices, identifying areas of success and opportunities for growth, and recommending innovative strategies to enhance program effectiveness and outcomes.
