The Rundown
Playfly Sports is looking for a Manager, Sales & Service to join our team with Pacific Athletics at the University of the Pacific. The Manager, Sales & Service drives revenue through sponsorship and ticket sales, serving as the primary liaison between clients and the University's Athletics Department. This role is responsible for renewing and growing sponsorship and season ticket accounts while generating new business through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals.
What You'll Accomplish
Generate revenue through outbound and inbound ticket sales efforts including season tickets, group sales, premium seating, hospitality packages, and special event experiences.
Develop relationships with local and regional partners to highlight the value of collegiate sponsorships
Support the development of year-end recaps and participate in renewal planning discussions
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, brand activations, digital marketing tools, and emerging sponsorship platforms
Support Director of Sales in the recruiting, hiring and professional development of Ticket sales and service staff.
Collaborate with internal teams to execute partner deliverables in alignment with contract terms and brand standards
Collaborate and support marketing and creative teams to develop and execute innovative ticket sales campaigns, promotional initiatives, and fan engagement strategies designed to increase attendance and revenue.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with fans, alumni, corporate partners, and community organizations to increase customer retention and long-term engagement.
Work closely with athletic department leadership, marketing teams, and external partners to align revenue generation initiatives with organizational goals.
Prepare timely and accurate sales reports that monitor the progress of the ticket sales and service team both individually and collectively and ensures that we maintain proper sales pacing to meet the goals set forth
Manage all aspects of customer service as it relates to both internal and external customers, enforcing customer service program and other corporate initiatives
Investigate and resolve ticket-related issues
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, and updates/relays all box-office related event information to each department and client
Other job-related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 1-3 years of experiences working in sales or service with collegiate and/or professional sports team.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
Results oriented leader with proven ability to motivate people and maximize revenue production
Proven track record in revenue generation
Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically
Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment
Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing and promotional ideas that drive fan engagement and attendance.
Experience and working knowledge of ActiveCampaign and Vivenu ticketing and reporting systems is strongly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
Organized and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to with quickly develop positive relationships
Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Self-motivated and energetic
Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Travel, Lifting, Physical Requirements
Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required
The work is sedentary in nature
Walking, standing, bending and carrying of light office items is required
The work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office environment

Compensation
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The base pay range for this role is: $65,000—$70,000 USD
