About the Role

The Environmental Services Technician provides essential support to patient care by maintaining a clean and safe environment across the hospital. You will work on the 2nd shift as a full‑time, 32‑hour per week position.
Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize patient rooms (occupied and unoccupied), public areas, surgical areas, and other assigned spaces.
Stock supplies and keep equipment clean and in working order.
Follow safety and infection control guidelines to keep the hospital clean and safe.
Provide excellent service to both hospital staff and patients.
Work closely with the Environmental Services Manager to ensure tasks meet the highest standards.
Follow detailed instructions and regularly check work to meet quality standards.
Qualifications

Positive attitude and strong desire to help others.
Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and cleanliness guidelines.
Team orientation and ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and stay focused.
Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is a plus, but not required.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Michigan driver’s license and insurance may be required.
Physical ability to lift up to 50lb, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and use a stepladder up to four feet.
