Job Summary / Description
KWQC has an immediate opening for a News Reporter/MMJ. The ideal candidate will produce stories focusing on issues people are facing in the Quad Cities. The candidate will cover breaking news & provide important LIVE updates. You will enterprise stories by developing sources throughout the market. Finding stories is also part of the job. Reporters are expected to shoot, write, & edit stories on both broadcast TV & digital platforms.

Duties / Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Work in a team environment & independently when shooting stories.

Be curious & aware of news of the day, current events, & trends.

Pitch multiple stories daily & include potential lead stories & other enterprise ideas.

Write stories for on-air.

Write & post stories on KWQC.com & post other content related to your story on social media & CTV/streaming products.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Have the drive to be first.

Apply the feedback given to you by the management team.
