Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in all aspects of production events: load in, set up, performance, strike, and load out, as well as various assignments as required by the event.
Assists audio, lighting, and video as directed by leadership; maintains and repairs sound, light, and stage equipment; secures and maintains house backline and supplies; maintains curtains, drapes, risers, and other staging items.
Operates heavy machinery, if certified, including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts and other equipment typically used in a live entertainment facility.
Sets up and tears down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, tables and other furnishings and equipment.
Operates and cares for stage areas in a safe, clean manner; ensures stage trash is taken out and stage is swept and set up for the next show when possible.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of tour and stage production experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Strong background in technical live entertainment practices, including sound, video, lighting, and rigging. Experience with stage lighting, pro audio systems, and basic video systems required. Previous experience operating a forklift preferred. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in all Microsoft applications. Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions – Environment
Primary work environment is a live entertainment venue within a resort and casino setting. Work may involve travel to meetings, trade shows, and conferences and may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally. Sedentary work with frequent standing. Constant computer operation and other office productivity machinery. Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels; speech sufficient to be understood. Visual acuity required for close tasks. Mobility sufficient to move safely in the office, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and operate a motor vehicle for travel. Reasonable accommodations will be made in compliance with applicable law.
