We are seeking a highly skilled
AOG Maintenance Technician
to provide rapid-response support for our fleet, ensuring aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, thrives in high-pressure situations, and is comfortable working independently while traveling to remote locations.
This is a full-time position based in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Candidates must reside locally and be available to travel as needed.
Schedule: 4 X 10 Hour Shifts
Responsibilities
Respond to AOG situations primarily within Michigan and a 5-hour driving radius, traveling in company vehicles or occasionally flying to aircraft.
Provide rapid, unscheduled maintenance and return-to-service inspections in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer instructions, and company policies.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and avionics issues under time-sensitive conditions.
Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
When not traveling for AOG response, work a scheduled shift in the Grand Rapids hangar performing routine and unscheduled maintenance.
Collaborate with pilots, dispatch, and maintenance control to minimize downtime and maximize aircraft availability.
Maintain readiness with proper tools, equipment, and travel documentation to deploy quickly.
Overtime may be required based on operational demands.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
FAA A&P Certification (required)
2+ years of experience working on Learjet, Bombardier, or other business aircraft (strongly preferred)
Experience with Honeywell engines (highly valued)
Strong knowledge of FAA Part 91/135 maintenance requirements
Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Proficiency with maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized maintenance tracking systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments in variable weather conditions
Flexibility to travel on short notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays (travel expectations are included in base salary; no additional on-call pay)
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and passport
Education and Experience
Minimum 2+ years of experience on Lear/Bombardier or comparable business jets (Preferred)
Honeywell engine experience highly valued
