Creative Services Assistant 2 – Non‑Exempt, part‑time position (20 hours per week) located in the Tempe campus, Arizona State University Barrett, The Honors College. Hourly pay $20.67. Position supports marketing, communications, and storytelling initiatives across Barrett's four metropolitan Phoenix campuses.
Essential Duties
Create and manage content across multiple communications channels, including email, social media, website, newsletters, and marketing materials.
Support the planning and execution of communications, marketing, and storytelling initiatives that advance recruitment, engagement, and visibility goals.
Develop and distribute email communications using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and brand compliance.
Capture and curate content—photography, video, interviews, written stories—for use across digital and print platforms.
Coordinate communication projects and digital assets while collaborating with campus partners and stakeholders.
Assist with outdoor marketing activities, such as banner installation and removal, using a ladder.
Ensure communications align with ASU and Barrett brand standards, accessibility guidelines and best practices.
Required Qualifications
High‑school diploma and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
English language proficiency for written and oral communication.
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, business, film, media studies, English, or related field preferred.
Experience in communications, marketing, or content creation through employment, internships, volunteer work, or student projects.
Demonstrated writing and editing experience, evidenced by prior work or submitted samples.
Experience creating content for social media, websites, newsletters, email marketing, blogs, or digital publications.
Experience supporting events, outreach, marketing campaigns, or communications initiatives.
Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Airtable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.
Strong organizational and project‑management skills, able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Working Environment
Desk‑based work with occasional travel between ASU campuses (Polytechnic, Downtown, West Valley, Tempe).
May require evening or weekend work for events.
Position is onsite at the Tempe campus.
Occasional lifting of marketing materials; ability to use a standard‑height ladder for banner installation.
Hours & Pay
20 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, in person. Pay: $20.67 USD per hour.
