Overview
Sr. Technical Editing Support- (Technical Editor) – position supporting a government client. Availability contingent upon awarded.
Responsibilities
This position will work directly with analysts, fellow editors, and web developers to ensure that all analytic products conform to product templates, meet requirements of Intelligence Community Directives and ACIC publication standards, and maintain consistency and readability for diverse audiences. Prior to the finished CI research analysis being published, provide editorial support to contractor analysts writing CI analytic products in support of analyses conducted under this PWS, in response to specific requirements listed.
Responsible for independent editing, designing, and managing the contents of finished multimedia intelligence publications. Post publications on external-facing ACIC. Review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency. Ensure style and format conform to agency standards and are aligned with prescribed style guides and subject-matter vocabulary. Amend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to support the accompanying text. Ensure proper classification markings per IC guidance. Work with authors to revise products for narrative organization and negotiate further revisions as needed.
Ensure final documentation is clear for the intended audience, logically arranged, grammatically correct, adheres to style rules, includes proper security markings and caveats, and is formatted according to ACIC policies and standards.
Formalize final products IAW established policies and standards.
Modify templates for existing product lines and sublines (e.g., ASR with five sub-products, MDCITA, Army Annual Threat Assessment, ACIC Annual Threat Assessment, FPN, CIN, CI Cyber Notes, Visual Information Products) to accommodate lengths from two to 100+ pages.
Provide analysts with expert technical knowledge and advice in planning, coordinating, and sequencing steps required to produce a publication.
Attend meetings with Government contractors, DA, NGIC, and national-level intelligence agencies to discuss and solve technical issues involving publication, dissemination, and DoDIIS-conformance.
Qualifications
Required experiences:
Two years of experience using Desktop Publishing, basic graphics techniques, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, HTML, XML, and Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education
High School Diploma — 20 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Associate’s degree — 16 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Bachelor’s degree — 14 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Master’s degree — 12 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Security Clearance
Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.
