Video Production Intern

At Azusa Pacific University, we believe in the transformative power of human stories. A story can move, empower, teach, humble, and inspire both individuals and communities. The visual storytelling team is tasked with capturing the narratives of various current students, staff, and faculty, and alumni on film (visit youtube.com/azusapacific for examples). We are hiring 1 undergraduate student employee (paid) to join us, starting in the Fall of 2026 for 12 hours a week.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the visual storytelling team in the planning, production, and post-production of a variety of video projects (with an emphasis on post-production)
Create videos tailored to various social media platforms
Take the lead in producing an APU story video(s) focused on a community member, campus space, or university initiative—as assigned by the Video Producer.
Identify film-related skill areas where growth is desired and complete various learning tasks under the guidance of the Video Producer.

Qualifications
Undergraduate student, currently enrolled at Azusa Pacific University
At least one year (two preferred) of cinema/media arts education or equivalent experience
Proficient with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop or equivalent video editing software
Passionate about the filmmaking process, especially post-production and cinematography
Organized, intentional, and an eye for details
Teachable and eager to learn
Preferred classes taken and passed: CINE 335 (Production II), 321 (Film/TV Editing), 320 (Cinematography), 322 (Sound Design), or 319 (Directing for the Camera)

Physical, Mental, and Visual Demands
Requires repetitive motions at the computer keyboard
Requires significant time spent in front of a computer monitor
Must be able to lift more than 20 pounds
Valid drivers license and personal vehicle for transportation preferred, but not required
