What you'll be doing as a Production Technician:

Loading ingredients into large industrial blenders

Operating a variety of processing and packaging equipment

Accurately picking ingredients and packaging materials using FIFO (First in First out)

Operating various forklifts and aerial equipment

Loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers

Follow all Safe Quality Food or Feed (SQF) processes as they relate to manufacturing, shipping/receiving activities, and material storage

Follow all safety requirements and report any violations that you have witnessed

Pick ingredients using FIFO, for blending from inventory locations as defined by the Batch Ticket, with strict lot verification

Accurately weigh ingredients into blender or premix vessels

Perform blending operations as directed by product blending instructions

Be capable of setting, adjusting, and takedown of all equipment

Operate packaging/sealing equipment as required

Properly palletize finished products as directed by packing specification sheet

Adequately prepare finished pallets for shipment

Clean all process equipment and tools used for production as defined by clean out processes and sheets

Obtain and maintain forklift and aerial lift certifications

Load and unload trucks and shipping containers safely, doing so with no damage to product or equipment

Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and production floor as required to keep workplace safe

Manage trash and recycling pick-up on scheduled days

Keep egress doors and walkways free from snow and ice as needed

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and general housekeeping processes

Offer suggestions to improve workflow efficiency, or safety

Job requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

Strong math skills

Great communications skills (verbal and written)

Great organizational skills

Proficiency with Microsoft and computer applications

Positive attitude and professional appearance

Great attention to detail

Ability to lift 55lbs. on a consistent and repetitious basis

Ability to climb ladders as required

Ability to stand for duration of shift and in one location for periods of time

Ability to bend, turn, and reach without limitations

Ability to work from elevated platforms

Possess a valid driver's license

Ability to multi-task

Strong mechanical aptitude

Previous knowledge/training with industrial trucks and equipment

Previous manufacturing and/or warehouse experience

Familiarity with 5S methodologies

Interest in agriculture, livestock animals, and/or pet food ingredients

Passionate and enthusiastic about working with a growing company

Preferred associate or bachelor's degree with 5 years of industry experience

Resume and Interview required

Background check and Drug test required
