Job Summary
We’re looking for a true digital architect—a creative powerhouse ready to build original, buzz‑worthy content for KWTX Central Texas. Responsibilities

Create original content: Conceptualize, shoot, and edit compelling video and graphic content for KWTX’s digital platforms, including website, apps, and OTT channels.

Dominate social media: Develop and execute daily content strategies for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, turning local news into shareable, high‑impact stories.

Produce live streams: Plan and execute engaging live‑streaming events, from breaking news coverage to community spotlights, interacting with our audience in real‑time.

Spot trends: Stay relentlessly curious about emerging digital trends and platform features, being the first to experiment and innovate new ways to connect.

Collaborate fearlessly: Work hand‑in‑hand with news, sales, and marketing teams to ensure our digital content amplifies the brand and serves the community across all platforms.

Analyze and adapt: Dive into analytics to understand what resonates, using data to inform your next big content idea and continuously improve engagement.

Tell Central Texas’s story: Discover and highlight unique local stories, voices, and events that matter to our community, giving them a vibrant digital life.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience creating compelling digital content for a news organization, agency, or high‑engagement brand.

A portfolio that proves you can create visually stunning and highly engaging content for diverse digital platforms.

Expertise in video editing software and graphic design tools.

Deep understanding of best practices and emerging trends on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram—you speak their language.

Killer storytelling instincts: you know how to hook an audience and keep them watching, scrolling, and sharing.

Scrappiness and self‑sufficiency: you can go from idea to execution with minimal oversight, owning the creative process.
