SUMMARY:

Implement and execute the marketing plan regarding gaming and non-gaming promotions. Responsible for ensuring that all departments are fully aware and prepared for set up and execution of all casino promotions.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:
High School Diploma/G.E.D required
At least 21 years of age
Experience in event planning and/or executing of promotions is helpful but not required.
Knowledge of Microsoft office products
Preferred:

Knowledge of Casino and Tribal gaming regulations to ensure compliance in appropriate areas of responsibility
Skills

Required:

Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)
Strong project management skills
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Excellent written communication skills including creative writing and press releases
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Accurate and detail oriented
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent skills in marketing research
Skills necessary to comply with budgets and meet or exceed forecasts
Abilities

Required:

The Abilities the applicant must already posses in order to qualify for the position
Must be licensable by SWO Gaming Commission
Must complete a 90 day probationary period
Displays leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external customers
Must be able to manage departmental budget and control labor and expenses
Ability to maintain high confidentiality
Ability the independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties:
Responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of promotions for the Rewards club and casino in a whole
Helps in development of promotions and events. Create and distribute event promotion noticed
Briefs customer service staff, all shifts, as to promotion and events
Orders and maintains an accurate inventory on all items and prizes related to promotions
Adheres to all Tribal Gaming Commission, company, and departmental policies and procedures
Prior to each event and promotion taking place contact departments that have tie-ins to see if they are ready and alert department changes
Attending promotions area and rewards club to assist customer with information and registration or rules that pertain to promotions
Create pre and post reports on giveaways, promotions and special events
Communicate programs to internal and external customers as appropriate
Implement strategic and tactical marketing plan for gaming and non-gaming promotions
Knowledgeable of and ensures compliance with Dakota Magic Casino and Tribal gaming rules and regulations within areas of responsibility
Safeguards assets and ensures all promotions and activities complies with procedures
Promote positive public and Team Member relations at all times
Distribute promotional materials throughout the casino and local area
Disseminate information regarding all upcoming events and promotions to the team member population so that they equipped to address customer concerns and promote Dakota Magic Casino experience
To perform other functions as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand 2-3 hours in between breaks

Must be able to communicate using written, oral and computer methods. Must be able to operate computer equipment (for extended periods of time). Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods in excess of 8 hours. Must be able to walk, sit, and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to travel and work in various locations when and where a special meeting, presentations, deadlines, trade shows, community activates or networking events are held.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flash lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work an hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume of direct public contact
