Lead Data Strategist
The role brings in-depth technical, functional, and industry expertise to amplify business development, account management, and thought leadership within CapTech. They will support and participate in solution delivery, and they are the primary interface with the client's technology and business leaders, providing technical and project leadership. They also are a servant leader to our clients and consultants, providing management consulting on data and analytics, as well as career assistance and mentorship.
Responsibilities include leveraging industry and technical expertise to collaborate with client stakeholders to turn vague concepts into actionable insights, and to maximize the value of client data across the organization. They will interpret and deliver strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps. They will assess and advocate data management technologies and practices, eliminating gaps between the current state and targeted future state. They will formulate and articulate architectural trade-offs across solution options before recommending a solution, ensuring client technical requirements are met. They will motivate and develop team members through coaching, teaching, empowering, and influencing technical and consulting skills. They will partner with portfolio team to demonstrate technical capabilities, envision valuable solutions, estimate proposed work plans, and recommend team composition talent to support delivery. They will work in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously supporting internal CapTech initiatives and leading client engagements.
Qualifications include 14+ years of leading large technical teams and projects. They should have 10+ years of experience implementing a wide variety of on-premises and cloud data management platforms and technologies. They should have a proven track record of assessing traditional and modern data architectures based on business needs in a consultative approach. They should have experience with the modern data stack/platform technologies, products, and approaches. They should have delivery experience on multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). They should have a deep background with integrations and transformations of numerous types of data sources, and the solution delivery of real-time data distribution (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Flink), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Firebase), and warehousing platforms. They should have a history of conducting/implementing strategic data assessments, data governance frameworks, and data quality measurements. They should have 5+ years of scoping technical engagements within consulting services.
