Marketing Manager
This role combines marketing expertise with subject matter knowledge of the practice's business lines to strengthen how our products and services are positioned in the market through clear, well executed marketing and insight.
As the Marketing Manager, you will aid in the development and execution of marketing plans; particularly for high-profile projects coordinate content strategy, facilitate industry event preparation and follow-up, and provide proposal support across business lines. Through these efforts, you will establish a cohesive brand presence for the practice and its business lines.
Your responsibilities include providing proposal and RFP support by managing timelines, refining messaging, formatting templates, and editing content to ensure submissions reflect Milliman's brand standards and competitive positioning. You will manage and scale content production by coordinating with internal stakeholders, corporate marketing partners, and external freelancers. You will also manage the practice's brand presence across digital and print channels, including websites, LinkedIn, client presentations, print collateral, and select multimedia content such as videos and podcasts.
Define success metrics for content initiatives, track performance, and apply insights to improve results over time. Translate complex thought leadership and technical insights into clear marketing materials, social content, and presentation slides that differentiate Milliman's products and services. Manage and co-develop high-visibility quarterly newsletters in partnership with consultants, including content development, distribution, and ongoing refinement. Drive internal marketing enablement by maintaining the central repository of approved sales assets, case studies, and presentation decks.
Serve as a marketing advisor to consultants by improving presentation quality, sharing best practices, and ensuring teams can effectively use available marketing assets in client pursuits. Prepare consultants for industry events by developing tailored collateral and event-specific briefing materials. Lead post-event follow-up by coordinating with consultants on timely outreach to conference leads, documenting market intelligence, and capturing lessons learned.
Job knowledge and experience required include a bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or a related field. You should have 4+ years of experience in B2B Marketing for a consulting, financial services, or technology firm. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft applications is also required.
Qualifications and experience include background with financial services, consulting, or technology marketing, demonstrated experience in B2B marketing of financial services, technology, or software products. Complex content translation, visual communication and collateral design, web & multimedia management, and proposal & RFP coordination are also required.
Core competencies and soft skills include high autonomy & strategic execution, stakeholder management & relationship building, cross-functional collaboration, and process discipline & follow-through.
Location: Candidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Chicago, IL on a weekly basis, but flexible work arrangements will be considered.
Compensation: The overall range for this role is $82,455 - $131,905. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
