The Opportunity

Abbott is recruiting a Business Development Manager - Electrophysiology, Emerging Markets. This role, based within the Emerging Markets (EM) region, (based in Dubai/Belgrade/Prague or related Emerging Market Country) will drive strategic growth, market expansion, and commercialization of Abbott's EP portfolio, with a strong focus on PFA solutions, capital equipment, and new technology launches across MEA, CEE, Central Asia, the Balkans, Baltics, Russia, and the Levant.
What You'll Work On

Growth Strategy & Market Expansion
Identify priority countries, growth segments, and key product opportunities across EP (mapping systems, ablation, diagnostic catheters, accessories).
Develop and execute regional business development strategies across Emerging Markets.
Own the EM Conversion Accounts program, including account segmentation, KPIs, playbooks, and execution with country teams.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Capital, Finance, and Education teams.
New Technology & PFA Launch Leadership
Lead planning, coordination, and execution of Abbott PFA solution launches across EM.
Deliver product training, demonstrations, and value-based positioning with customers.
Act as the central EM coordinator for PFA and the EM point of contact for the LAAO EMEA Leader.
Track account readiness, optimize timelines, and lead LMR and FMR processes.
Own EM brand strategy for Abbott PFA solutions, tailored to local market needs and compliance.
Market Insights, Pricing & Capital Equipment
Own market models and inputs for LBE and Strategic Planning cycles.
Analyze market trends, reimbursement frameworks, and competitive dynamics.
Lead EM pricing strategy and support tender and contract solutions.
Drive capital equipment business development, installations, and market share growth across EM.
Leadership & Governance
Lead, coach, and develop a regional team, fostering accountability, ownership, and high performance.
Manage senior stakeholder communications and regional customer engagement.
Ensure compliance with Abbott ethics, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Travel extensively across the region (50%+).
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior commercial and/or management role within the medical device industry, preferably Electrophysiology.
Extensive knowledge of the EP medical device market and therapies.
Proven experience leading teams in complex, matrix, and emerging market environments.
Strong expertise in EP workflows, device support, and education/training delivery.
Customer-facing experience with EP healthcare professionals.
Solid understanding of PFA market drivers, reimbursement, and healthcare systems.
Knowledge of the Abbott EP portfolio strongly preferred.
Strategic, analytical, and results-driven leader with excellent communication skills.
