Job Description:
TD Securities’ Global Strategy team is seeking a Vice President, US Rates Strategist who will be responsible for generating actionable trade ideas, producing high‑quality macro/thematic research, and engaging directly with institutional clients across US rates markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify trade ideas, market dislocations, relative value, and hedging opportunities across multiple horizons and rates products

Conduct macro thematic research across US rates markets (e.g. US Treasuries, swaps and related rates instruments)

Partner with sales and trading to produce timely market intelligence and insights

Engage directly with institutional clients and contribute to select media interactions

Depth & Scope:

Strict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firm’s procedures

Understands and complies with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements

Communicates bank policy information and strategy between the product head and relevant trading personnel

Fully informed on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound trading decisions

Develops and maintains contacts

Understands the approved Business Strategies (Strategic Business Reviews SBRs), applicable to the business, and ensures that all of your business dealings are in alignment with these strategies

Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.

Series 7 and 63

5-7 Years of related experience

Must be detail oriented and possess problem‑solving skills

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and establish priorities

Proficient in interpersonal communication (both oral and written), and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in finance or economics preferred

5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role and strong understanding of the US Rates market

Product expertise with Treasuries, STIR, TIPS, and Swaps preferred

Experience in Vol or Cross Currency Swaps is a plus

Demonstrated ability to communicate investment ideas clearly and efficiently across a broad institutional client base.

Highly motivated with a strong work ethic, professional disposition, and desire to be part of a highly collaborative global team.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
