General Statement of Job
The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for multimedia storytelling, digital content management, and brand consistency across the district. This role blends advanced video and media production with everyday digital operations, website maintenance, and administrative support to ensure all internal and external communications are current, engaging, and accessible.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Video, Multimedia, & Photo Production

End-to-End Production: Research, develop, script, direct, produce, and edit educational, instructional, and promotional media productions for internal and external audiences.

Broadcast & Digital Programming: Design and co-produce district television and digital programming, including generating computer graphics, animations, show openings, public service announcements, and audio selection.

Photography and Drone Operations: Capture high-quality professional photography and utilize drone photography and videography for district events, facilities, and promotional materials.

Multimedia Presentations: Design and produce dynamic multimedia presentations integrating graphics, 3D animations, and digitized video/sound across modern operating platforms.

2. Digital Content & Web Support

Website Maintenance: Oversee the design, layout, and maintenance of the district webpage, ensuring weekly/monthly information updates and managing links to individual school sites.

Portal & Content Publishing: Manage content publishing across digital platforms, including executing employee portal updates and keeping the digital directory and organizational charts accurate.

Calendar Management: Oversee and update district-wide digital calendars to ensure accurate scheduling and public awareness of events.

School Support: Provide technical assistance to schools and departments to help them create and maintain their web presence.

3. Graphic Design & Print Media

Layout & Design: Responsible for the creative design and layout of weekly and monthly newsletters, business reports, annual reports, posters, and flyers for administrative departments, special programs, and schools.

Digital Signage: Generate graphics, announcements, and type layouts for the district's electronic bulletin boards and digital signs.

4. Operations, Administration, & Specialized Support

Departmental Communications: Provide targeted communication and marketing support for specialized branches, including Culinary Services Communications.

Administrative & Overflow Support: Assist the broader communication team with administrative tasks, scheduling, and overflow support as needed to maintain operational excellence.

Equipment & Server Management: Operate, inventory, and maintain a wide variety of video cameras, audio gear, and peripheral equipment; load and schedule programs into digital servers; arrange for timely hardware/software repairs.

Performs related duties as required.

Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including videography equipment, computer, telephone, tools, etc. Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; work involves walking or standing for extended periods of time, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, and performing light manual labor. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to 150 pounds.

Training and Education
Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science/programming, public relations or journalism supplemented by ten to fifteen years of experience in commercial art, videography, designs, media art, computer graphics and multimedia design or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Terms of Employment
240-day work agreement. Salary and work year to be established by the district.
