This part‑time clarinet teaching position is located at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University. The role involves teaching weekly applied clarinet lessons to students enrolled in a variety of degree programs on site at the CCPA Chicago campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly applied clarinet lessons to students in the following degree programs: Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance; Bachelor of Music Education; Bachelor of Musical Arts; Bachelor of Arts; Master of Music in Clarinet Performance; Master of Music in Orchestral Studies (Clarinet concentration); Performance Diploma in Clarinet Performance; Professional Diploma in Orchestra Studies (Clarinet concentration).
- Engage in student recruitment and retention through active, effective pedagogy.
- Participate in adjudication of recitals, woodwind juries, and woodwind auditions.
- Communicate clearly and timely with students and faculty.
- Submit grades and attendance records in a timely manner.
- Use the Roosevelt University email address consistently during the employment period.
- Develop and submit a studio syllabus each semester using the university‑mandated template, documenting all studio policies, expectations, procedures, and grading criteria.
Job Details
Part‑time position with a maximum of 20 teaching hours per week. Salary approximately $110 per hour.

Qualifications
