Marketing Strategy Leader For Small Business Banking

Develops and leads the marketing strategy for small business banking advertising to deliver customer-centric, multi-channel marketing programs that drive growth, engagement, and business outcomes. Defines and sets creative direction across a portfolio of products, leading the development and execution of marketing and creative strategies from concept through delivery. Uses segment-specific marketing strategies and media in collaboration with agencies, product, sales, and technical teams to launch and scale marketing programs. Identifies and communicates key performance indicators to ensure strategies drive positive return on investment and are continuously optimized. Influences senior stakeholders and partners to align on strategic direction and achieve enterprise priorities. Adapts plans and priorities to address agility, resource, and operational considerations while ensuring all marketing efforts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies. This role operates as an individual contributor without direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive creative marketing strategies across multiple products and initiatives, synthesizing business objectives, customer insights, market research, and performance data into integrated, data-driven approaches using traditional and AI methods.
Lead development of advertising and marketing assets across channels, serving as the point of contact for internal partners and external agencies.
Provide senior creative leadership across initiatives, setting standards for quality, messaging, and execution, and approving final creative to ensure alignment with brand and strategy.
Manage a portfolio of concurrent campaigns, balancing priorities, timelines, complexity, and risk to ensure on-time, on-brand delivery.
Provide input into creative budget planning; manage assigned budgets and make tradeoffs to maximize impact and efficiency.
Influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners to align marketing strategy, creative direction, and prioritization decisions.
Stay current on marketing trends, creative best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to small business audiences.

Preferred Skills / Experience
Advanced knowledge of assigned geographical area, competitive market, banking operations, and U.S. Bancorp's products and services
Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Agility in thinking and delivery, along with proven ability to take direction in support of company goals
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and assignments that are completed on time and on budget
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages
MBA or equivalent markers of high achievement are a plus
Experience using AI tools alongside traditional tools for creative, copy, strategy, imagery, and research is a plus.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - 10 or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results
Location Expectations
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $139,230.00 - $163,800.00
