The role
Leading recruitment efforts in the US across New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., ensuring the hiring of brilliant talent in real time and anticipating future needs. You will report to the Global Head of Talent in London and manage the US Talent Acquisition Manager in New York.
Responsibilities
Work with the US COO, Global Head of Talent, and People team to align on recruitment priorities.
Collaborate with the US Talent Acquisition Manager to divide and conquer live briefs and drive long‑term improvements to the US talent market approach.
Deliver a world‑class candidate experience, from first contact to close.
Run a comprehensive kickoff process to align on profile and process for each role and prepare interview teams.
Oversee sourcing strategy: advertising, outreach, and management of recruiter agency relationships.
Ensure deliberate efforts to diversify the candidate pipeline.
Execute day‑to‑day recruitment activities: candidate liaison, calendar management, introductory calls.
Deliver internal US interviewer training.
Build a sustainable pipeline of communications and policy talent across the US.
Maintain an active network of candidates, market contacts, and peers across the US communications and policy advisory landscape.
Use market intelligence to inform sourcing strategy and share insights on compensation, talent availability, and competitor activity with the Global People & Talent function.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years’ recruitment experience in the communications/PR/public affairs space.
Strong track record of running end‑to‑end processes in a fast‑paced, high‑quality environment.
Effective stakeholder management, able to push back, set expectations, and build credibility with senior leaders.
Solid understanding of the US communications, public affairs, or professional services talent market.
Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and an ATS (Lever experience advantageous).
Experience using LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) safely and critically in a work setting.
Strong communication skills: writing compelling job adverts, candidate‑facing materials, and facilitating kick‑off sessions.
Intellectual curiosity, collaborative instincts, and a genuine commitment to an inclusive culture.
Experience experimenting with AI tools designed to support people and talent functions.
Experience working in a scaling environment.
