Overview

Assist in planning and executing all DSG‑led events, collaborating with the Community Leadership team to deliver safe, engaging, and successful experiences for athletes.
Responsibilities

Plan all DSG‑led events, including cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing coverage, and event day execution from setup to teardown.
Maintain 100% compliance with event waiver requirements.
Become an expert on event space capabilities, recommending optimal configurations based on availability.
Work with the Community & Events Manager to keep events within budget and identify efficiencies and cost savings.
Create event documentation, including Run of Show, Event Recaps, Emergency Information cards, and Rental Agreements.
Oversee the event experience, ensuring athletes participate safely and enjoyably.
Lead and monitor the reservations scheduling tool.
Manage needs of field events: hire referees, maintain equipment and field/ice rink conditions, and coordinate entertainment such as music and guest speakers.
Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment for store events.
Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, sports leagues, and vendors to partner on events.
Identify and create sales opportunities during client liaisons and events.
Gather feedback from events to ensure athlete satisfaction and provide a high‑touch, innovative experience.
Maintain all field equipment and programmable spaces for proper use and cleanliness, including snow removal from ice surfaces when applicable.
Support store operations and sales when needed, adjusting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Adhere to policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, standard operating procedures, and applicable governing entity laws.
Understand and follow all ice rink policies and procedures as trained by Magic Ice, when applicable.
Ensure proper operation of ice venue special events, open skating, and holiday promotions, sharpening rental and athlete skates when needed.
Assist with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including new teammate training and cross‑training current teammates.
Mentor new hires by sharing experience, knowledge, and best practices; provide timely feedback on projects and tasks.
Deliver outstanding teammate training and coaching to support the store vision and experience.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of relevant experience.
At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
Previous event planning experience; a mix of profit and non‑profit experience is ideal.
