A Simple Phone Call Can Make a World of Difference.
Baptist Hospice is looking for one or two compassionate volunteers to join our team by making our weekly

"Tuck-In-Calls"

from our Batesville office.
Every Wednesday or Thursday, you'll spend 2-3 hours calling hospice patients and their caregivers before the weekend to see how they're doing and make sure they have everything they need.
Sometimes it's as simple as asking:
"Do you have enough supplies to get through the weekend?"
"Is there anything you'd like me to let the hospice team know?"
"How are you doing today?"
These conversations provide more than information - they provide reassurance. Caregivers often carry a tremendous amount of responsibility, and knowing someone is checking in each week gives them one less thing to worry about.
Over time, many volunteers develop a light friendships with the spouses, adult children, and family members they call. A familiar, caring voice can become one of the highlights of their week.

Can commit to about

2-3 hours each week on a Wednesday or Thursday.
The schedule is flexible, and we're happy to have

one volunteer or two volunteers share the responsibility.
