Marketing Manager at Port Everglades The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for a Marketing Manager at Port Everglades. Works under the general supervision of the Public Information Officer (PIO). Manages the development, execution, analytics and tracking of communications and marketing initiatives across various platforms, including website, email, social media, events and community outreach. This position requires a high level of organization, critical thinking, excellent analytical, design and communications skills, including proficiency in digital and social communications, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Specifically, this position will:
Write and edit copy for marketing and communications needs, such as the digital/website content, newsletters, presentations, publications, signage and video scripts.
Design and produce graphics/artwork for marketing and communications needs, such as digital content, presentations, publications, signage, flyers and gifts.
Develop and manage social media content, including track, analyze and report on metrics.
Develop and produce video and audio content for community events, business meetings, and digital and social media.
Organize and lead port tours for internal and external audiences.
Represent the port at community events, trade shows and executive meetings.
Manage and fulfill public records requests.
Manage the port's automated phone system.
Manage event, content and production calendars.
Support the PIO with media pitches, interviews and media/public responses.
Support the management of the agency's website and CRM database.
Assist with the management of public relations, marketing and advertising vendors/contractors.
Perform related work as assigned.
General Description:
Develops and implements a business development and/or public relations plan for an agency.
Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, business administration, public relations or closely related field.
Requires four (4) years in marketing, advertising, special events coordination, or public relations work or closely related experience. Requires one (1) year of supervisory experience depending upon area of assignment.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Ability to secure and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment. Ability to secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification card (TWIC) within 60 days of employment and for the duration of employment. Ability to secure and maintain a valid Port Security Identification Badge for the duration of employment.
Preferred:
2+ years experience in a Customer Relations Management program (CRM)
2+ years experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar graphic design program
2+ experience with a website management platform (Simpleview, Sitecore) or newsletter platform (Constant Contact, MailChimp)
3+ years of professional social media or public awareness experience
2+ years of experience with videography, photography or digital image editing for campaigns and social media
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, business administration, public relations or closely related field.
