RADIO‑TELEVISION SPECIALIST — 42001799
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Responsibilities
- Function as video editor in the production of audio/video programming for educational, instructional, promotional, and marketing projects.
- Assemble raw footage, transfer or upload to a computer, follow a script or outline, and collaborate with clients and FDACS directors to produce a final product.
- Digitally splice video clips, synchronize them into a rough cut file, improve lighting and color, correct faulty footage, and add graphics and sound (including music selection and voice‑over writing).
- Edit content for broadcast television, social media, and digital presentations; handle documentaries, PSAs, Instagram Stories, and training videos.
- Pre‑produce and script audio/video programming; develop content with clients, draft scripts, generate storyboards, and ensure the final product meets desired theme, tone, and timing.
- Maintain a library of field footage, archive completed programming, inventory supplies, produce duplicates, recommend equipment and software purchases, and coordinate requisitions for purchases and contracts.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent AND at least 4 years of experience in radio or television production; OR bachelor’s degree (4 years) in communications or English plus at least 1 year of experience in radio or television production.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) and ability to create content for web-based and social media platforms.
- Capability to complete assignments within designated time frames.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast‑quality audio and video editing software.
