This is a rare opportunity for someone with several years of marketing experience who is ready to step into a more consequential role with greater ownership, broader exposure, and meaningful room to grow.

Based in New York, with affiliated offices in Cape Town, Nairobi, and New Delhi, Micato creates award-winning luxury journeys through East Africa, Southern Africa, and India.

We are looking for someone who is energised by improving systems, bringing structure to complexity, and helping a talented team perform at a higher level.

Our average employee tenure is 13 years, and there may be opportunities for travel to Africa and/or India.

The Opportunity
Marketing operations at Micato sit at the centre of how we present ourselves to luxury travel advisors and ultra-high-net-worth travellers. From beautifully produced brochures and direct mail to trade shows, campaign coordination, vendor management, and digital asset organisation, this role is central to keeping our marketing polished, effective, and scalable.

You will report to our Marketing Operations Manager and work closely with our Director of Marketing, while partnering across Sales, PR, Creative, and external vendors. You will also have meaningful exposure to leadership in New York and, at times, colleagues in Africa and India.

Micato also embraces AI thoughtfully for its ability to automate repetitive work, improve efficiency, and free talented people to focus more on their unique abilities, judgement, and creativity.

What You’ll Do

Build and refine marketing SOPs, workflows, and project-management standards

Identify inefficiencies and recommend stronger ways of working

Support EOS implementation by helping make marketing processes clear, measurable, and scalable

Monitor competitor activity, luxury travel trends, and marketing performance to help strengthen decision-making and execution

Use AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to streamline research and productivity

Help steward key vendor relationships, including designers, photographers, printers, and mail houses

Oversee projects from brief through final delivery, including timelines, budgets, and logistics

Coordinate multiple campaigns and marketing initiatives simultaneously

Maintain and improve digital asset management, including photo rights, naming conventions, metadata, and usage tracking

Who You Are
You likely have a Bachelors/Masters degree and 4+ years of relevant marketing experience, ideally in luxury hospitality, travel, or another high-touch client environment.

You may be a strong fit if you are:

Required experience

4+ years in marketing, with significant coordination or operations experience

Vendor and partner management experience

Experience building SOPs, workflows, or process improvements

Print production knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, project-management platforms, and collaboration tools

Comfort with analytics and data-informed decision-making

Active use of generative AI tools to enhance efficiency

Preferred

Experience in luxury hospitality, travel, or UHNW-focused sectors

B2B marketing experience

Direct mail and trade show experience

Familiarity with EOS or similar operating frameworks

A close-knit, collaborative team where excellent work is noticed, valued, and trusted

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience
