Regional Director, Private Client - West
Office/Location : Based in California - in market based on business needs.
Compensation : $156,000-$195,000 annually + bonus
Job responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
In close relation with the BDD, develop and execute business development strategies tailored to the UHNWI and HNW market
Identify and recruit new Private Clients through personal networks, referrals, and strategic partnerships
Understand and deploy Regional Private Client strategies in close collaboration with the domestics’ teams
Actively communicate the MH Private unique value proposition, service standards, and portfolio to Private Clients and key influencers
Full accountability for regional Private Client sales budgets and Revenue objectives
Supervise and optimize sales activities to ensure effective execution, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined receivables management
Monitor key performance indicators, evaluate commercial performance, and drive corrective actions when required
Brand & Marketing Leadership
Act as a MH Private Ambassador, both internally and externally, through ambassadorial duties and high-profile engagements
Partner closely with domestics’ Marketing teams to position MH Private as a leader in luxury wines & spirits
Co-create and oversee regional annual Private Client and Prestige event calendars, ensuring consistency with brand strategy
Manage Private Client marketing and engagement budgets to maximize ROI and brand impact
Client Relationship Management
Personally develop and manage key UHNWI relationships at regional level
Ensure delivery of highly personalized, best-in-class client experiences
Drive CRM excellence by optimizing usage of CRM tools, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights
Contribute to the development of regional CRM programs and client engagement content
Lead and inspire a regional team of Private Client Directors and Managers
Set clear objectives, roles, and performance expectations aligned with business priorities
Coach and mentor team members across planning, execution, client engagement, and deal follow-up
Build and implement learning & development plans covering brand knowledge, luxury service standards, and career progression
Foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement
Build a strong talent pipeline for the Private Client organization in the USA
Profile
Education
Professional Experience
10+ years of client development, sales and marketing experience, preferably in the luxury consumer goods or U.S. wines and spirits industries.
Practical/Technical Knowledge
Your own network of (U)HNWIs contacts and possess great social and networking skills deeply rooted in the local community.
Strong leadership and people development capabilities
Deep understanding of UHNWI client expectations and luxury service standards
Proven track record in Private Client, luxury, spirits/wines, or high-end lifestyle industries
Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, presentation, and influencing skills
Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution excellence
Credible brand ambassador with strong presence and storytelling ability
Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and client-centric
Comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed, international environment
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
The ability to showcase strong leadership skills and experience in effectively leading a team.
Strong social skills and are a collaborative teammate, seamlessly working with different teams.
