Job Overview: As the Manager of Business Development your job is threefold: (1) Lead a team of BDRs to create qualified opportunities for the sales team, (2) Train other members of the BDR team, and (3) take on operational and administrative tasks to help the BDR team perform and exceed expectations. You will be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the BDRs, and will help to train, onboard, and mentor new BDRs with the help of the Learning and Development team and Director, Market Outreach and Development. The Manager, Business Development will report to the Sr Manager of Business Development.

What you'll do:

Train other members of the BDR team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities.

Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs for cold calling to conduct business to business sales growth.

Ensure BDR team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring 1:1s.

Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs.

Actively drive performance/productivity KPIs by conducting 1 on 1 coaching/goal setting, problem solving, and assist with identifying performance and market trends.

Work closely with the Demand Generation and Sales team.

Work closely with Sales and the Demand Generation team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes.

Work closely with leadership to identify key company accounts to develop.

Work in collaboration with Content, Campaign Managers, and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team’s assigned accounts.

Provide business updates through reporting and work closely with our analytics team.

What we're looking for:

Track record of leading a team that consistently meets/exceeds goals.

10+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product - leadership experience is highly preferred.

Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).

Experience in sales operations and/or marketing automation software preferred (Marketo and Demandbase preferred).

Experience in the utilization of sales engagement platforms (SalesLoft preferred).

Understanding of B2B SaaS software is preferred.

Sales coaching with experience in prospecting and lead generation.

Proven track record with team building and building an environment for success.

Passionate about technology and learning more about AvidXchange.

Continuous learner and career growth minded.

Experience in successfully hiring and onboarding BDRs.

Experience building out new BDR team segments, including processes and strategies.

Proven track record of implementing and executing efficiency measures.
