News Producer/Digital Producer - WJHG

Join our #1 news team as a Producer/Streaming Producer, responsible for producing timely, accurate content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with sound news judgment who performs well under deadline, demonstrates leadership and organization, and maintains a high standard for detail and accuracy. This role requires flexible hours, solid technical skills, and a clear understanding of multi-platform news delivery.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Producing and/or assisting producing weekday newscasts and streaming content.
Ability to fill in on other shifts as needed, including weekends.
Assisting with digital producing, including web and social, and shooting/editing video as directed by news management.
Taking direction and learning under the guidance of news management and senior producers.
Enterprising story ideas and covering a variety of assignments.
Qualifications/Requirements:
A BA/BS degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field is required for this position.
Prior professional experience working in news media is preferred.
Strong professional social media skills.
Solid technical and computer skills.
A valid driver's license and good driving record.
