Job Description

Role Purpose

The Business Development Director – South is accountable for acquiring new OEM logos and unlocking green space across the South territory.

This role is not responsible for renewals or long-term account governance.

Scope & Coverage

  • Owns a defined target OEM list for South territory.
  • Leads opportunities across key MSX domains.
  • Works closely with Value Stream leaders and SMEs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build executive access & credibility.
  • Generate and qualify pipeline.
  • Shape and win pilots / first deals.
  • Negotiate and close with discipline.

Responsibilities (Day-to-day)

  • Develop territory/OEM acquisition plans.
  • Run discovery workshops and quantify value cases.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene.
  • Coordinate bid teams and executive briefings.
  • Attend industry events, forums, and roundtables.

Key Interfaces

  • Value Stream / Delivery Leaders

Qualifications

Candidate Profile (Required)

  • 15+ years in consultative B2B sales/business development.
  • OEM experience with Nissan or Mercedes-Benz.
  • Executive presence and strong persuasion skills.
  • CRM proficiency and analytical capability.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA (nice to have).
  • Sales methodology training.
  • Existing network within South OEM ecosystem.
  • High resilience and structured persistence.
  • Internal leadership without authority.

Performance Measures (KPIs)

  • Time to first signature.
  • Deal quality metrics.
