Position Overview
WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic DIGITAL INTERN who wants to write for the web, produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads, and assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates as well as constantly emerging content. This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Fall semester 2026 only.

Responsibilities
Write for the web, produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads, assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates, create Facebook posts, Tweets, promote coverage, and coordinate with our streaming channel production team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Completed journalism writing and editing courses

Working knowledge of WordPress, CMS, and social media platforms

Videography course with a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere preferred

Passion for telling local stories

Enrollment in a college degree granting program; proof of enrollment in an internship course required

Willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and how all departments in a TV station work to support each other

Ability to work a varying schedule Sunday through Saturday

Work Hours
12-15 hours per week on site. Working hours will vary and be set in agreement with supervisor.
