Audio Engineers apply their audio production and technical tool expertise to evaluate and improve AI systems'' understanding of real-world audio workflows. You will contribute to AI research projects by creating and assessing audio-related prompts, reviewing model outputs, and providing domain-specific feedback to help the models better reflect professional audio practices.
Key Responsibilities- Develop domain-specific prompts and task scenarios related to audio engineering and production.
- Evaluate large language model responses and other AI outputs for technical accuracy, relevance, and real-world applicability to audio workflows.
- Provide detailed feedback, examples, and corrections that reflect professional practice in recording, editing, mixing, and audio tool usage.
- Work asynchronously with AI research teams to refine task specifications and annotation guidelines.
- Perform additional audio production or technical tasks as requested by individual projects within the program.
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience using one or more of the following tools: Audacity, Ardour, Linux Multi-Media Studio, or other related audio production tools.
- Practical knowledge of audio production workflows, signal chain, editing, mixing, and exporting for different formats.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in asynchronous team environments.
This is a remote, part-time role with asynchronous work. You can work from any location and set a flexible schedule. There is no minimum hourly commitment required. Placement into specific projects depends on project availability. Projects open periodically throughout the year.
