Role Overview

Video editors apply their hands-on editing skills with tools such as OpenShot and Shotcut to help train and evaluate AI systems that learn real-world video production and related professional tasks. You will contribute domain expertise to year-round AI research projects, with new project opportunities opening periodically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use your video editing experience to create, review, and manipulate media that informs AI model evaluation.
  • Develop domain-specific prompts and test scenarios tailored to video editing workflows.
  • Evaluate LLM and AI responses for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with professional practices.
  • Work asynchronously with research teams to provide expert feedback and guidance on tasks within your domain.
  • Perform additional editing or tooling tasks as projects require, using OpenShot, Shotcut, or similar tools.
Qualifications
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience using one or more of the following tools: OpenShot, Shotcut, or other related video editing tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate asynchronously with remote teams.
Work Terms
  • Employment type: Part-time.
  • Remote and asynchronous, work from anywhere with internet access.
  • Flexible hours with no minimum weekly commitment.
  • Placement into specific projects depends on project availability.
  • Projects run year-round, with opportunities becoming available periodically across different areas of expertise.
Compensation
  • Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)
Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
  • If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported.
