Job Description
Creative/Design Specialist III – West Region Transportation Marketing Business Line Team. This position offers a flexible hybrid arrangement and can be based in the U.S. from any AECOM office.

Responsibilities

Perform creative and graphic design tasks to deliver a range of outputs that effectively convey a message and capture audience attention.

Use a broad mix of design software and technology to create online and offline designs, including digital layouts, web graphics, video, UX, 3D, proposals, and other collateral.

Act as a brand ambassador for the AECOM brand and its usage.

Establish relationships with key internal stakeholders.

Review visual layouts of less experienced team members and manage visual challenges and stakeholder feedback.

Create outstanding branded visual design layouts and maintain high standards of creative quality.

Apply strong creative understanding to inform cross‑functional teams, meeting and exceeding project goals and client needs.

Work independently and collaboratively, ensuring client expectations, quality assurance, and brand compliance are met.

Ensure all creative work meets brand guidelines and review junior team members’ work for consistency.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and developing collaborative workflows.

Collaborate and project‑manage complex proposals with multiple outputs to deliver compelling digital and printed media.

Coach entry‑level designers.

Job Summary

Create outstanding branded visual design layouts.

Be highly capable within a specific discipline or area of software and have a wide understanding of the creative process and landscape.

Apply strong creative understanding to inform cross‑functional teams to meet and exceed project goals and client needs.

Work independently and collaboratively with a strong understanding of client expectation, quality assurance and brand compliance.

Ensure that all creative work meets brand guidelines and standards and review work of junior team members to ensure brand compliance and consistency.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines. Manage less experienced team members and develop collaborative workflows.

Collaborate and project manage complex proposals with multiple different outputs to deliver compelling digital and printed media.

Coach entry level designers.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education is acceptable.

Demonstrable graphic design skills and expertise, with a strong portfolio. Experience in the Architectural/Engineering & Construction industry is highly desirable.

Thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.

Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.

Preferred Requirements

6+ years of relevant graphic design experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Experience in the Architectural/Engineering & Construction sectors and/or in Proposal and Sales is a plus.

Experience with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools.

Prior experience with illustration, map creation, isometrics, and cross sections.

This position does not include sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or in the future.

Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this position.

All newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
