Join our Corporate Communications team as a Corporate Communications Specialist, where you’ll help bring the Happen Bank brand to life with internal and external audiences. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career in communications, explore the evolving role of AI in corporate storytelling, and make an immediate impact on how employees and media engage with our company. You’ll gain hands-on experience in writing, design, and digital channels — while being mentored by senior leaders and working alongside a creative, collaborative team.What You'll DoContent Creation:Write clear, engaging communications tailored to internal and external audiencesManage the development and distribution of a weekly internal newsletterSupport the rollout of company initiatives by helping to prepare messaging and detailed communications plansCreate graphics and visual designs to enhance and amplify communications, including the creation of notices on digital signageCollaboration & Support:Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team on a variety of internal and external initiatives and events, contributing ideas and enthusiasmDevelop strong working relationships with key stakeholdersManage logistics and coordination on a variety of ad hoc projectsInsights & Analytics:Monitor communication effectiveness using analytics dashboards and measurement tools, recommending improvements to boost impactExplore and experiment with AI-powered communication tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to support innovative storytelling and team efficiencyAbout You1–3 years of experience (including internships) in communications, journalism, digital media, or a related disciplineBachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, or a related fieldExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft 365 and graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)Comfort with emerging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) and curiosity about how they shape the future of communicationsStrong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentA proactive, self-starting approach – you take initiative, anticipate what’s needed, and follow through without waiting to be askedCuriosity, adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset—you’re excited to learn, take ownership, experiment, and stretch your skillsAbility to thrive in a hybrid office model based in San FranciscoWhy Join Us?Impact: Your work will help build the new Happen Bank brand!Growth: Hands-on experience and working with senior leaders will accelerate your career in corporate communicationsInnovation: You’ll be at the intersection of storytelling, design, and emerging technologyCulture: Join a collaborative team that values creativity, curiosity, and a healthy dose of fun in the workdayWork LocationSan FranciscoThe above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. Happen Bank offers relocation, based on actual job level.Time Zone RequirementsPrimarily PTWhile the position will primarily work local hours, Happen Bank is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.Travel RequirementsAs needed travel to Happen Bank offices and/or other locations, as needed.CompensationThe target base salary range for this position is 70,000-82,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of Happen Bank’s Total Rewards package.
