Description
Student AV technicians learn the basics of audio/visual operations and use those skills to run campus audiovisual systems in support of campus events. Level I technicians go through a semester-long training process and will be required to demonstrate their technical ability before advancing to a level II technician. A Level II technician is expected to be able to handle basic events on campus with minimal supervision, effectively managing events and troubleshooting issues on their own.
Assignments may include:
Running live sound for chapel/convo, lectures, meetings, recitals or concerts
Setting up video/data projection for meetings, lectures, movie night on the lawn, concerts
Streaming video of sporting events, music and theater recitals, and lectures
Editing production recordings, sweetening audio, and publishing finished content
…and much more!

Qualifications
Promptness and Reliability – ability to show up on time, every time….
Personal Organization – able to keep track of changing times and technical details
General comfort with computers and technology; desire to learn new skills
Willingness to gracefully receive direction and constructive feedback
Ability to use knowledge to troubleshoot issues and create workaround solutions
Interest in learning audio/visual technology
