We are seeking an experienced Drone Pilot / UAS Operator to support our asphalt and construction operations through safe, compliant, and professional drone flights. This role will assist project teams with aerial data collection for progress tracking, inspections, stockpile measurements, and documentation on active jobsites.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on construction experience, strong FAA compliance knowledge, and the ability to communicate drone data in a way that is useful to field and management teams.

Job Duties Operate drones on active construction and asphalt jobsites in compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations
Conduct pre‑flight planning, airspace checks, safety briefings, and risk assessments
Capture aerial imagery and video for: Project progress documentation
Stockpile and material measurements (aggregate, RAP, asphalt)
Inspections and site overviews

Process and deliver usable data, maps, reports, and imagery to project teams
Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and project managers during flights
Maintain flight logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
Ensure safe operations around crews, heavy equipment, traffic, and live paving activities
Travel between multiple jobsites as needed
Support the development and standardization of drone procedures and best practices
Experience & Knowledge Required Experience operating drones for commercial or construction use
Knowledge of FAA rules, airspace restrictions, and jobsite safety requirements
Ability to work around heavy equipment, crews, and active construction zones
Strong communication skills and professional judgment
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites
Physical & Working Conditions Outdoor jobsite environments with exposure to dust, heat, noise, and traffic
Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active construction areas
Ability to lift and transport drone equipment
