We are working with a pharmaceutical company seeking an experienced Senior Director, RCC Marketing Strategy to lead the development and execution of long-term strategic plans for the RCC portfolio within a high-impact oncology business.
Reporting to the Vice President, GU Marketing , this role will drive the long term strategic brand plan, annual planning cycle, and line extension launch planning for new RCC products and/or indications. This is a highly visible leadership role working cross-functionally across commercial, medical, market access, and operations teams to shape the future of the RCC franchise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cross-functional development and ongoing refinement of the RCC three-year and annual strategic brand plans , including competitive readiness planning
- Develop the strategic framework for potential joint commercial collaborations with partner organizations
- Drive organizational alignment to the RCC brand strategy across cross-functional stakeholders
- Co-manage the indication financial plan and collaborate with commercial operations on forecasting
- Conduct deep-dive market assessments to inform brand strategy and identify growth opportunities
- Partner with commercial operations to optimize market research and insight generation
- Drive development of the target product profile to support strategic decision making
- Collaborate with Sales Operations on sales incentives, analytics, and performance insights
- Manage the RCC brand budget , ensuring disciplined resource allocation and ROI analysis
- Engage with key GU customers and accounts to gather market insights and inform strategy
- Lead and execute strategic RCC brand initiatives and programs
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and promotional standards
Leadership Responsibilities
- Directly manage team members and provide leadership across matrixed and dotted-line teams
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
- +10 years experience in pharmaceutical marketing and/or strategic consulting
- Oncology experience is required
- Proven ability to develop and articulate high-impact brand strategies
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment skills
- Excellent strategic thinking and market analysis capabilities
- Deep understanding of FDA promotional regulations and MLR review processes
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong project management, presentation, and communication skills
- High learning agility with the ability to synthesize complex market dynamics
